Candle No. 13 - Marseille Soap (Savon de Marseille)

Marseille Soap, the perfume of the "Lavandieres", the ladies washing your linen thanks to the huge blocks of Marseille soap, fresh river water and a lot of muscles (and lots of gossip about the village life). In any Provence village you will still find the old "lavoir", the place where they used to gather to practice their profession. This scented candle is an ode to them, and will deliciously spread the scent of clean soap to your home.

Hand-poured in Provence into our apothecary amber glass jar. Thanks to the lid, you can keep the scent of your candle longer.

Hand-cast in Provence, these candles are made from 100% natural plant wax, an organic soy wax made in Europe and certified GMO-free. Soy wax is environmentally friendly because it is 100% vegetable and biodegradable. It does not release soot, unlike mineral waxes like paraffin, making it a very healthy candle for frequent use.

To improve the beneficial effects of these candles, untreated cotton wicks that are pre-soaked in wax for better combustion, labeled oeko-tex are used. Since vegetable wax is extremely easy to clean with soap and hot water, you can wash your pot once the candle is completely burned, and recover it for a small plant or for other decorative and domestic uses.
